2025 One World MArathon
Move For Resilience

What is the
One World Marathon?

The One World Marathon is a global movement - running, walking, rolling, hiking, swimming etc. - and a team-building event created by One World Strong Foundation and our partners. It exemplifies and promotes the core principles of unity, peace, collaboration, and connection through running and other healthy physical activities.

This year, in November, there will be a special edition of the One World Marathon to support and celebrate the One World Strong team participating in The Great World Race (7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents). The team will be raising funds for One World Strong and Unbroken Cities, with a focus on supporting our Global Youth Leadership Program and the Unbroken Cities Programs, both of which promote healing, resilience, and leadership among youth affected by trauma. Show your support by participating in the One World Marathon - there is no cost to participate, but we encourage donations from those who are able.
How to Get Involved...
The Great World Race takes place between November 15th and 21st, and this is the period during which you should complete your One World Marathon. The marathon distance (26.2 miles or 42.2 kilometers) should be completed by a team consisting of two or more participants. For example, a team of 10 would each cover an average of 2.6 miles (4.2 kilometers), though some may do more and others less.
The distance can be completed as part of a larger event or individually, depending on what works best for your team. We welcome teams made from schools, families, community groups, and organizations. Schools from across the world will be participating, particularly from Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Beyond the Marathon: The Impact
In support of the One World Strong team running in The Great World Race, we are striving to raise a minimum of $100,000 to fund One World Strong’s programs that promote healing, resilience, and leadership around the world. Every step, every donation, and every shared story contributes to creating connection, empowerment, and lasting impact in communities affected by trauma and violence.
Global Youth Leadership Program
An international program connecting youth across borders to collaborate, engage in service projects, and develop leadership skills. Participants gain confidence, empathy, and a sense of purpose while addressing real-world challenges in their communities and abroad.

A global network of cities and initiatives focused on trauma recovery, rehabilitation, and resilience, especially in Ukraine. These programs provide medical care, prosthetics, physical and psychological rehabilitation, housing, adaptive sports, arts and storytelling, and group therapies. Together, they help survivors rebuild their lives, foster community, and reclaim hope and dignity.

More Than One Way to Make an Impact
Ready to make a difference? While joining our global marathon costs nothing, there are so many fun and meaningful ways to champion healing and hope! Whether you share your amazing talents, volunteer your time, or contribute funds, every bit fuels our impactful programs.
